RICE PROCESSING SYSTEM – RAW MATERIAL PROCESSING SYSTEM

The rice processing system includes rice input and output systems, ensuring the raw material supply for the industrial brewing process. The rice processing system is designed with modern equipment researched to ensure optimal quality and operation for manufacturers. Let’s explore the rice processing system developed by POLYCO, applied in many large industrial breweries and highly appreciated, leading in Vietnam.

1. Rice Input System

1.1 Rice Input Hopper

The rice input hopper is designed to allow input of raw materials from bulk bags with a capacity of 1.5 m3. The hopper is made of concrete and constructed with a mouth at the same level as the raw material input floor.

The hopper mouth is made of woven steel mesh with V70 bars and 50 stainless steel rods, distributing rice evenly to the conveyor chain and blocking debris to avoid blockage during rice transport to the loading bucket into the Silo. There is a dust suction line to the rice input dust suction system and a debris separating mesh to prevent rodent intrusion after rice input, with a covering tarp.

1.2 Rice Conveyor Chain No. 1

Rice conveyor chain No. 1 is manufactured by POLYCO to transport rice from the input hopper to rice loading bucket No. 1 with a length of 6,000 mm, ensuring a capacity of 10 tons/hour. The conveyor chain box is made of electrostatically painted steel, and the chain is made of wear-resistant material.

The chain structure ensures that bolts are tightly screwed to the scraper plates, preventing bolt pieces from falling into the material during transportation.

1.3 Rice Loading Bucket No. 1

Rice loading bucket No. 1, manufactured by POLYCO, is responsible for transferring rice for loading into the Silo, with a height of about 24,000 mm, meeting a capacity of 10 tons/hour. The bucket is made of steel and electrostatically painted.

1.4 Rice Conveyor Chain No. 2

Rice conveyor chain No. 2, researched and manufactured by POLYCO, transports rice from the bucket to the Silo. The chain has a length of about 10,000 mm, meeting a capacity of 10 tons/hour. The conveyor chain box is made of electrostatically painted steel, and the chain is made of wear-resistant material.

The chain structure ensures that bolts are tightly screwed to the scraper plates, preventing bolt pieces from falling into the material during transportation.

1.5 Rice Storage Silo

In the rice input system, there are 2 silos manufactured by POLYCO, using SS400 material. Each silo has a capacity of 160 m3. The operation floor system is manufactured on-site, anti-rust painted with gray paint, equipped with full and empty level detection devices.

  • Technical details

Working mode of the silo: no pressure. Total capacity: 165 m3. Usable capacity: 160 m3. Total height: 16,600 mm.

The silo is designed according to standard models. The body and bottom are made of SS400 steel. The body is cylindrical, the bottom is conical. The silo structure ensures technicality, durability, and aesthetics. The entire body of the silo is wrapped with industrial corrugated iron to create a 100 mm thick static air layer for insulation. The outer surface of the silo body is painted with a layer of rust-proof paint for the entire silo and a layer of high-quality paint for the bottom to ensure durability and beauty. The inside is cleaned, and the surface of the top and bottom silo is manufactured in Vietnam with detachable modules, then transported and assembled on-site.

The silo is manufactured on-site using a chain hoist method to pull and weld each silo segment: connecting the top and each segment of the silo body onto the reinforced rim to connect the pre-erected silo legs. Successive segments of the silo body are connected until welded to the silo bottom, then using a suitable load crane to lift the entire connected silo part to weld to the silo bottom and weld to the reinforced rim on the silo legs. The manufacturing process will be completed after cleaning, thermal insulation, and installation of related equipment before moving to the stage of assembling the railing on the operation floor and the conveyor chain.

Inside the silo, welds are ground, treated to ensure smoothness, limit adhesion of materials and joints, and prevent mold. The silo top has a manhole for cleaning and inspection inside. The loading bucket top is designed with a cover and an operation floor to serve system maintenance.

The entire body of the silo is wrapped with corrugated iron to create a 100 mm thick static air layer for insulation.

Support legs:

Each rice silo has 4 support legs made of SS400 steel pipes F219. The legs are connected to each other with F89 mm steel pipes. Along with the reinforced rims on the top of the legs to weld to the silo body.

Each rice silo leg has 4 triangular-shaped reinforcing ribs welded to the leg, attached to the leg base plate.

Each silo leg has specific bolt patterns to secure with anchor bolts to the steel core before pouring the silo foundation concrete.

Other components:

At the top of the material input door is F200 mm. At the top, there are DN125 air vents and F450 mm observation ports.

At the cone bottom of the silo, there is an F450 access door for cleaning and handling inside, and an F200 mm material outlet door.

The silo is equipped with an overflow level sensor. The sensor position is located and drilled on-site.

2. Rice Output System 2.1 Rice Conveyor Chain No. 3

Rice conveyor chain No. 3 is designed and manufactured by POLYCO to transport rice from the bottom of the silo for processing. The chain has a length of about 13,000 mm, meeting a capacity of 3 tons/hour. The conveyor chain box is made of electrostatically painted steel, and the chain is made of wear-resistant material.

The accompanying control devices are synchronized. The chain structure ensures that bolts are tightly screwed to the scraper plates, preventing bolt pieces from falling into the material during transportation.

2.2 Rice Conveyor Chain No. 4

Rice conveyor chain No. 4 is manufactured by POLYCO to transport rice from the bottom of the Silo for processing. This is a two-way chain, with a length of about 14,000 mm, meeting a capacity of 3 tons/hour. The conveyor chain box is made of electrostatically painted steel, and the chain is made of wear-resistant material.

2.3 Rice Conveyor Chain No. 5

2.10 Rice Loading Bucket No. 3

2.11 Intermediate Hopper

The hopper is made of stainless steel (inox 304) material. The body is cylindrical, and the lid and bottom are conical. The entire structure of the body, lid, and bottom is welded with Argon (TIG, MIG). Internal welds are ground flat and polished to ensure surface smoothness.

The hopper is manufactured in VIETNAM and delivered as a complete finished device (only connected to the system) to the construction site.

2.12 Rice Grinding Machine

  • Operating capacity: 3 tons/hour.
  • Hammer mill type.

2.13 Rice Weighing Hopper

The rice weighing hopper is manufactured by POLYCO using stainless steel (inox 304) material. The body is cylindrical, and the lid and bottom are conical. The entire structure of the body, lid, and bottom is welded with Argon (TIG, MIG). Internal welds are ground flat and polished to ensure surface smoothness.

The hopper is manufactured in VIETNAM and delivered as a complete finished device (only connected to the system) to the construction site. The weighing hopper is designed with a vibration generator to ensure material flow.
